Do you offer horseback riding lessons for beginners?
Yes. Seascape Sport Horses offers private and group riding lessons in Gilroy for all levels, from first-time riders to advanced competitors. Beginners start with the fundamentals of English riding and progress toward jumping at their own pace with an individualized program.
What is the difference between hunters, jumpers, and equitation?
Hunters are judged on the horse's style, movement, and jumping form; jumpers are scored objectively on speed and leaving the rails up; equitation is judged on the rider's position and effectiveness. Seascape Sport Horses trains and shows in all three rings, so riders can find the division that fits their goals.
Do you compete at rated horse shows?
Yes. Seascape riders compete on the A-circuit and at NorCal shows including Woodside, Paso Robles, The Oaks, Sacramento International, and Paso Robles Horse Park, as well as USEF Pony Finals and CPHA medal finals. The program has produced NorCal year-end champions, USEF Zone 10 championships, and national Horse of the Year placings.
